The Ineffectiveness of Online Classes

 The Ineffectiveness of Online Classes

Covid passed by during the year 2019 and slowly affecting everyone including workers, students, and families. Every country went through a pandemic which caused the Department of Education to implement a new way of learning. Online Classes slowly started in 2020 which made students have a hard time adjusting. Online classes eventually ineffective because of how online classes became more on passing instead of learning.

Another reason why Online Classes are ineffective because of how students rely too much on the Internet instead of answering using their own words and understanding. Teachers do not have any control over this other than using a plagiarism checker. Having Face to face classes will avoid this problem, face to face classes allows teachers to observe their performance and during exams or tests. Free websites for answers are openly available to students in the internet. Using these websites will only help you now but you will surely regret not learning anything.

Easier for students to cheat, teachers might think that opening your camera during an exam is enough evidence that you're not cheating but it's not. Many students do the most just to avoid failing in an exam which is not a good practice to continue. Continuing this practice of cheating in College will lead you to be expelled. Having the knowledge is important especially when you are graduating through Online Classes. It would help if you successfully graduated without cheating because it gives you more knowledge of what to do in the future, such as applying for jobs.

Lazy students, not all students are lazy but some are definitely lazy. Online classes are already hard enough to learn. It is also way harder to grade lazy students. They mostly leave their to do list undone and avoids joining zoom calls. Face to face classes will be able to avoid this. Students are able to socialize and interact in real life classes unlike online classes, you feel like you are stuck in a box.

To conclude this essay, Online classes is not a sustainable way of learning through a pandemic which where you are stuck in your home. Online classes is not everyones way of learning. Everyone has different ways of learning. Some prefer online classes easier while some find it harder.

“Students do not learn much just sitting in classes listening to teachers, memorizing prepackaged assignments, and spitting out answers. They must talk about what they are learning, write reflectively about it, relate it to past experiences, and apply it to their daily lives. They must make what they learn part of themselves.”
